Near central Alexanderplatz a new residential quarter has been built by CollignonArchitektur. It comprises 402 student apartments, an administration office, a private kindergarten and retail on ground floor.

The 13-storey building contains retail usage on the entire ground floor with a supermarket and a bakery with a café. Also on ground level are two entrances to the apartments, the access to the daycare facilities  and to the underground parking. From second to 11th floor the student apartments are located, with two setback storeys on top of the building. On the rooftop of the supermarket and at the second backyard there are recreative spaces for the daycare children.

The general size of the apartments are 25 sqm (270 sq ft), almost all of which have balconies. In the two setback stories on top there are altogether 39 apartments, some of them larger and equipped with a roof terrace. All of the apartments have natural ventilation and lightning.

The design of the building refers strongly to its surrounding – large-scale, powerful buildings with simple but present façades.
